The Number One Zerg Strategy To Win More Games

The Zerg Race is meant to be highly dynamic and reactive. As a Zerg player we need to be able to balance a timely response to the four gate all-in, and battle hellions for instance with the need to macro up and build towards the swarm that is essential in mid-late game play.

The difficulty is knowing when it's safe to macro and when it's time to build an army. Furthermore, being the reactive race it's critically important to build the right units. It doesn't help at all if we've massed lings against an opponent going for skytoss and a heavy turtle style.
To achieve this balance its incumbent on us as Zerg players to have a really strong game sense. We need to remain in command of the many game resources at our disposal including minerals, gas, queen energy, larvae and food. It doesn't help for us to have perfect macro and for us to have used the last of our larvae on a round of drones when a marine / widow mine procession is heading our way.
The number one way for us to maintain a constant game sense and to win more games is more consistent, meaningful, and frequent scouting. Be careful not to trivialize the importance of this aspect of gameplay. Keep in mind that Zergs have a distinct advantage over the other races when it comes to tech switching. We're able to drop a tech building and instantly produce swarms of units from every active hatch. Contrast that with the other races who need to drop the tech building, and then build a good number of production facilities before they can produce any appreciable quantity. For these reasons it's very difficult for the opponent to surprise us with a unit composition if we're scouting properly and its very difficult for us to miss the tech path our opponent is going for due to the lead time. This assumes we know how to interpret the signals and non-signals coming from our opponent. We should constantly focus on learning this code by asking ourselves whats possible based on what we see and by analyzing our losses.
There are numerous ways to improve map presence and game awareness. A few key tips include:
  • Early overlord positioning and scouting at 6:00; consider overlord speed instead of zergling speed
  • Massive creep spread - YouTube AcerScarlett for inspiration
  • Burrow or spread lings across the map
  • Use a small force to poke their natural to see what their composition is
Try practicing one or two of these techniques per week. You'll notice a dramatic difference!

How to Host a LAN Party: Gaming Essentials

Space Restrictions
You will need to provide every gamer attending the LAN party a good amount of space. While PC LANs do eat up a bit more space than console gaming parties, you can count on each gamer requiring a five by five foot square of space. This allows for the necessary seating and storage space as well as tabletop space for PC deployments, or for playing area for console gaming. Garages are fine if you're planning a small eight person LAN, but generally you'll be looking for something a bit larger. Town halls, community centers, etc. are ideal. Do a rough calculation for the square footage of the floor, and divide by the number of planned attendants do see if your square footage meets minimum demands. Providing sufficient space is always a good idea, as extended game-play in tight quarters can really deter from the events overall quality. In terms of table area, most efficient setups allow for gamers on parallel sides of long tables. Think rows of lunch tables from elementary school!
Power Restrictions
Depending on the number of gamers you have in attendance, you will want to check with the owner of the event area to ensure that the power grid can support the power demands of so many computers, monitors, TVs, consoles, etc. LAN parties consume massive amounts of electricity, which is why you ought to safeguard against potentially blown fuses. As a rule, I restrict three computers per socket. Be prepared to compensate the hall owner for electricity as well.
Networking Restrictions
This is the most important part of a LAN party: the Local Area Connection! While your PCs and consoles might be great for single player, they're no use at a LAN unless they're linked up. While your average router can supply you a networking solution for four computers, you might require something a little more extensive depending on the amount of people you have coming. While most routers have only four ports, larger switches have expansions between eight and sixty four Ethernet ports. Renting a piece of networking hardware like larger switch might prove worthwhile. I opted for a refurbished Cisco switch so I have something on-hand, but if your LANs are planned infrequently, then a weekend long rental would prove more cost effective. There you have it, the basic logistics necessary to get your LAN party off the ground! Thanks for reading and happy gaming!

The Best Gaming - Demon's Forge

As we move forward, so do the video games. There's a high risk that the old ones will be forgotten, that we could walk away from the elements of video games we once loved. Take a look at a game from your past that you once enjoyed, do you still enjoy it? Today, games are striving to be bigger, complete with sweeping narrative. At one point in gaming history, all you needed was a character with a tiny sword that sweeps back and forth. In the face of the huge gaming world, the older games have been forgotten by many.

Let's take a look at Hunted: The Demon's Forge, this takes gamers back to the days of slicing and dicing enemies and walking through dark, spooky dungeons filled with unknown digital creatures. It has more in common with Hero Quest than it does Oblivion. Of course, there is a great storyline that goes along with it and the main part nests in putting co-op in the heart of gameplay (thank you for making it Co-op!). Hunted: The Demon's Forge is all about killing things in dark places.
This game consists of using a variety of buttons - it is not a one button hack fest. This game has invented a third-person/action adventure hybrid, in my opinion. Yes, this may seem strange, but it is pretty cool! Grab your melee weapon with a push of the button and the camera will zoom out to give you a better view of your character. Push the trigger button to whip out the bow and you the camera will give you an over-the-shoulder view.
You have two characters - Caddoc and E'lara. Both of them are able to use close combat weapons, but Caddoc is stronger in melee and is able to use bigger axes and swords that have a lot of power. Don't worry, E'lara hasn't been cut short by any means, she specializes in super fast-firing longbows, which by the way, Caddoc is not able to use.
You can unlock your characters special abilities as the game progresses by spending crystal currency, which you pick up throughout the game. For example, Caddoc is able to lift up enemies in the air, which makes it easy for E'lara to aim and shoot. E'lara can use frosted and explosive arrows, which is great crowd control.
Sure, you can play the game solo, but when you do, your companion will not do what you want them to do and there is no command system. I believe the game is much better when it comes to co-op play, which is available via split-screen and online.
The storyline isn't the best out there, but it is still good. The tale shows us an alliance of creatures forming a group for reasons we do not know, until the end. They are taking tons of slaves to the ancient ruin - Caddoc and E'lara do not know why. These two have been hired to save the mayor's daughter, who was taken. Caddoc an E'lara are pretty interesting - Caddoc is afraid of creepy spiders, while E'lara is impulsive and constantly competing for the most kills by going in head first.
If you did not know much about Hunted: The Demon's Forge, you would think it was an outdated RPG. However, once you start to play it, you quickly realize it is a great hack and also so called Xbox Slash game which has been layered with slight RPG elements, adventure puzzled and third-person shooter.

Flight Simulator Controls and Their Indicators

Before practicing any skill in real life, it is important to learn the skills required for it and then practice the skills in an artificial and controlled environment before moving on to the real thing. Similarly, before you head out to fly an actual airplane. You can find the best flight simulator controls to learn about aircraft flying before you try to fly the actual thing there are many flight simulator controls that you can choose from, some including controls like the Flight Pro Sim. This particular simulator has around 100 different aircraft model controls in it and you will need to practice all of them to learn about controls of different air crafts.

Users of different flight simulator controls have the option of choosing either 2 dimensional or three-dimensional cockpits to practice flying in. A lot of trainees have suggested that the three-dimensional cockpits give you a more real experience. However, depending on your level of comfort, you can switch between these two views at any point in time. The controls can be used through a yoke, mouse or even a joystick, depending on what you have and what is available for you to use.

There are indicators that come with the flight simulator controls that teach you about reading gauges in the cockpit in real life. You will learn how to use the attitude indicators to find out about the bank and pitch of the plane, while learning about speeds (in knots through reading the airspeed indicator in the control panel.
Air speed indicators, in real life and in the flight control simulator have different colored arcs representing speed range, flaps and retracted flaps. The red dial, which is on the upper section of the indicator, is very important to keep a check on. It indicates the velocity that must not be exceeded so you will need to be very careful about this and keep a check on it from time to time.

Aligning the wings with the turn indicator marks suggests that you will be taking a regular 120 seconds turn. In order to check whether the rudder and ailerons are aligned correctly, you will need to refer to the inclinometer. This will tell you about the skidding of the plane. The altimeter in the flight simulator controls tells you about your altitude measured in hundreds of feet. This is always measured as the number of feet above sea level and not ground level so it is important to remember this. The vertical speed indicator in the cockpit will inform you about the rate at which your plane is ascending or descending.

For more information regarding flight simulator controls you can contact Flying City for more information and purchase of the controls themselves.

The Difference Between 2D Versus 3D Online Games

Video games have been around for many years now since the arcade days. Due to recent advancements in technology, many can now enjoy these games online. Many of the online games are either 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional. 2D technology has been around even before the introduction of online games, but 3D games came up only a few years ago. Nevertheless, you cannot teach old dogs new tricks, new does not necessarily mean better. It is wise to consider some of the benefits and disadvantages of the two types of games before you start playing online or buy.

The benefits of 2D and 3D
2D games are much simpler than 3D games and have controls that are more basic. This means the tutorial is short, and learning the game is easy. Anyone can just pick up a 2D game and simply start playing it. 2D versions have simple rules. In general, the aim is always to go forward, which means you use only the right direction button. However, some have other directions such as jumping up and down.
3D games are more realistic than 2D versions. People find it much more enjoyable to play a one that appears and feel real. That is why virtually all unity games are in 3D. Games offered in a three-dimensional platform are highly detailed. The world and the background have more depth, which makes it fun and interesting to explore. This increases your playtime, giving you more realms to enjoy. The graphics are also impressive.

The disadvantages of 2D and 3D
2D ones do not have good graphics, hence bottomless pits are harder to identify. In these games, everything appears to be on one line on the screen, which might make it harder to play it. There is little to explore, so the player tries to play as quickly as possible to complete the game. They have fewer genres and limited in their genres. They are also not so realistic.

On the other hand, 3-dimensional ones take a longer period to develop, which makes them expensive. They have a bigger tutorial since the controls are more complex. This means you cannot just pick up a 3-dimensional one and start playing. You have to take time to study the tutorial and additional time to get used to the it. The camera in such games can be a major issue due to the dimensions. For instance, a player may want to get a better view of an enemy during combat but may find it a challenge due to the position of the camera.

Strategies To Make You The Best At Online Shooter Games

Over the years, online shooter games have attracted millions of players worldwide. There are many such games available today, offering different experiences. The joy of playing such games is not simply learning to shoot straight. You need to come up with excellent strategies that will not only keep you alive but also ensure you succeed in your mission. If you want to be the best you can be while you play online games, you need to set your priorities in order. Your main aim for playing the game should be to win. Here are a few tactics to help you win the game:

Optimize your settings
The first thing you need to do before you begin playing any shooter game is to adjust your settings to the ones that favor you. Try adjusting the brightness of the screen so that you can see objects clearly. Tune your X and Y-axis sensitivity as well as the inverted look. Keep adjusting your settings as you become more and more familiar with your game.

Meet your mark
The most basic rule in any shooting game is to make each of your shots worthwhile. Unless you mean it as a suppression fire, randomly firing at the enemy will do little to make you victorious. The most common mistake shooters make is to pull the trigger too soon. Try not to fire until you have locked on the target. Many games will show you when your shot is on target. Aim your shots towards fatal areas of the enemy.

Choose your weapon wisely
In any shooter game, your weapon is often your closest partner, hence you have to select wisely. Choose a weapon that is easy to carry and handle. Some games allow you to have more than one weapon. You can use this ability to your advantage by using a different weapon in different scenarios. For instance, when your target is hiding in a distance, you can use a sniper rifle to take the shot. When you do not want to make a lot of noise, use a silencer.

Observe details on the screen
When playing any shooter game, you must be able to know where your enemy is always. Your screen will display a map that will show all the enemy lines so that you can approach with caution. The screen will also display details of your game life, how many weapons you have, bullets remaining and game progress.

Vital Tips To Be Victorious At Online Racing Games

If you are a fan of racing games, then you will be glad to know that you can download countless free car games online to enjoy at your free time. Most racers today do not just play to have fun but to win. In fact, if you do not start winning, you will soon lose interest and move on to other things. If you have been playing various racing games online but you are not winning, do not give up just yet. You can try a few tips that will definitely work:

Select a good car
Many online racing games allow you to select a car you will use to race with other players. The car you select largely determines whether you will win the race or not. When selecting a car, do not just look at the maximum speed. You need to consider its handling, acceleration, braking and stability.

Tune your car
Some advanced games will even allow you to tune your car just as you would in the real world. You can upgrade your car with a new engine, extra fuel tank, high-performance tires and advanced brakes. These parts will boost your performance during the race. Some games require you to have credits that you will use to tune the car so make sure you have some.

Use practice mode
Some racing games have practice modes where you can practice racing your opponents. The practice mode allows you to race as fast as you can without the pressure of the other opponents. You are able to track your time, speed and progress. The practice mode is not part of your game progress and does not affect your credits.

Be aggressive
If you want to win at online games, you have to be as aggressive as possible during the race. This means keeping an eye on your opponents and using every means necessary to prevent them from winning. Some games allow and encourage you to use the PRT techniques, where you push the back of your opponent's car, which causes them to be unstable and lose control.

Race at a lower level
If you are not winning, it could be that you are racing at a higher level than you can currently handle. You should consider going a level or two down so that the races are easier and the opponents less aggressive. Once you are comfortable with that level, you can then move on to the next.

Hidden Object Games

Among the variety of computer entertainment hidden object games (HOGs) are quite popular. People of different ages enjoy them. Actually, there are different games for kids, teenagers and grown-ups. The games of this kind for kids train their memory, logic, help to develop thinking skills. Grown-ups mostly relax, while playing, especially in a train or plane, during coffee break, or having evening rest after a hard day. Though, HOG games are good for logic, some things are really difficult to find, and a player need to think thoroughly before he can do that.

One more advantage is that this kind of games are normally not expensive or available online for free.
Nowadays, there is a great diversity of such games, some of them look like the others. So, let's see which ones are mostly preferred by players.

- "Settlement Colossus" is an interesting and gripping game which is a mixture of HOG and a strategy. The user's task is to rebuild a destroyed settlement and find all necessary things for it. Acting like an emperor, you find food and natural resources for your inhabitants, and by all means improve their lives. All the things in the game, like wood, food, clay, etc are not really hard to find, anyway there is are different hints to help you.

- "Grace's quest: to catch an art thief" is really exciting and full of adventures. You'll definitely enjoy it if you are fond of detective stories. You play as Grace who travels around Europe in search of art thieves and her kidnapped friend. It's made up in traditions of typical HOGs. You go from one task to another, find various objects and play mini games. You are given a list of all the objects that need to be found but it's quite tricky because the list may become longer the moment you've nearly finished with it. The game is full of various quests: some are easy, some are more difficult, like finding fingerprints with a help of magnifying glass or search through bags using x-ray machine.

- "Magic Encyclopedia 3: Illusions". That's the third game of successful series.
You are Catherine, a magic academy student. She goes for a quest to find a stolen magic book and prevent the evil magician from using it. This story is really engaging and powerful. You explore a lot of places such as Egypt, China, even Atlantis.

You look for hidden staff in two worlds: the real world and the world of illusions. Finally, it is quite hard, because you find objects mostly bit by bit, and these bits are really small. Some objects can't be found until you find other ones.

- "Robinson Crusoe and the cursed pirates" is a HOG full of adventures.
Robinson Crusoe is unlucky again. He has successfully escaped from the Inhabited Island, but sailing for home, he experiences a shipwreck on an enchanted island full of ghost pirates.

To return home safely Robinson has to collect all of the cursed items, Black Spots, all around the island.
Tasks to fulfill can be a bit different: the hero needs to find objects from the list, or number of the same objects, for example, 10 spiders; sometimes he needs to put pictures in order or build up something a bit by bit.

Well, we see that all those games are set up differently and based on different stories. If you wish you can look some more various hidden object games, based on your favorite stories of adventure, romantic, western or fairy tale genre. But they all help us relax in an interesting atmosphere, train search and memory skills.

Why Let Your Children Play Tractor Games?

Tired of the usual mayhem and gore that you see in online and console games lately? Are you fed up with your kids imitating unruly and dangerous characters they meet playing these games? Then get your pre-schoolers playing another game and this time adventure is the name of the game but without the usual blood, bullets and dismembering that you find in online and console games. Get them to play tractor games instead. Why tractor games specifically? Here are some popular reasons why:
Tractor games will get your child interested in handling farm equipment and doing realistic work. Preschool is the age when your little one is building his interests and may even think about what he wants to be when he grows up. Riding tractors, working on the farm and taking care of animals may be a great start towards the fulfillment of a larger, more complicated dream!

Improve simple problem solving skills like moving crops and animals to safety, harvesting crops before they are ruined by a natural calamity, digging for rocks and stones in different places and navigating their way through road obstructions. Your child will learn these simple skills that he can use in real life.
Tractor games improve your child's maneuvering skills especially in racing tractor games where the tractor needs to move about obstructions and different kinds of track imaginable. Have you ever driven a tractor before? If you haven't, your child may already be a pro tractor driver on the surface of the moon!
These games will also spark your child's imagination as he plays games with his friends and classmates in school. He will also love to play tractor games over the over again since he will also be able to meet his favorite cartoon character pals like Dora the Explorer, Diego, Mario and Luigi, Disney cartoon characters and so many more.

Also enhance your child's ingenuity as well as his appreciation to farming, agriculture and taking care of animals. He will also learn how to keep the environment green and clean so that animals, plants and people may thrive.

Bet you did not guess that tractor flash games were so important to kids! So the next thing you may need to think of is where to get the best tractor games online when there are so many flash games sites. Base your choice of the best site with the following criteria:
Go to sites that offer free tractor games. This way your child could play any tractor game without ever signing up or paying for anything. You may also want to consider pay sites that offer full and downloadable versions of the game which you could play even when you are not online.

Choose sites that offer free apps so that your child may play his games on his smartphone or android phone. Choose sites that are exclusive to flash games so you will have a huge variety of to choose from.

How to Add Mods (Modifications) to Minecraft

First you will need to obtain some type of archiving software. I suggest 7-Zip. After downloading and installing the program to your computer go to your computers start menu and type in "%appdata%". This will bring up a folder called Roaming. Click on the roaming folder and inside should be another folder called .minecraft. Open the .minecraft folder and inside should be yet another folder called bin. Open the bin and you will see jar files. Right click on the Minecraft JAR and choose to open with your archived software. Make sure when you open this file to look for a folder called META-INF. There will be two Mojang files inside of this folder. Be sure to delete them or your Minecraft will not work. You delete the files by right clicking inside of the folder which will open a menu for your archiving software. Choose to delete the file. Make sure not to double click the file you are trying to delete or your computer will try and find a software to open up the.class files you are deleting.

You now have access to modifying Minecraft. Almost all modifications will take place in this file. You simply download a mod for Minecraft, (make sure it is the same version as your Minecraft as not all mods are updated) right click on the zip file and choose extract. The extracted files will then be moved to a folder that is no longer zipped. Open this folder, highlight all the files inside and either copy and paste them or drop and drag them into the Minecraft JAR file. This is effectively the same thing as an "installation". Your computer will not ask you for permission however as you are merely changing the files of the program, not the computer.

Some mods, such as Forge Mod Loader will be the only thing you need to put into the JAR file. This will then allow you to place your other zip mod files into a directory or folder known as Mods. The Mod Loader will do all the work for you and you simply have to enjoy. Some mods require special installation. The author will almost always include a text file inside the zip file with instructions or put up instructions on their website. Some mods are not compatible with each other. However, the author should make not of that as well. Some Beta mods may not as they have not been as thoroughly tested as publicly released mods. That's pretty much it. You're now ready to mod Minecraft!

How To Select The Best Flight Simulator For An Enjoyable Experience

The myriad options of games today available make it difficult when it comes to purchasing the best flight simulator. While there are many different types of games, not all are worth the money spent. It is essential to objectively consider your requirements and intentions when you go out to select a game.
The games that are offered vary to suit different groups of individuals. A pro pilot or aviation enthusiast may look for certain features while a casual gamer may not be particular about many options. The price tags on each game differ accordingly. Do not purchase in haste. Look around, read the reviews and other posts on forums to get different comments and suggestions.

You may purchase a game that has features that do not interest you and may ruin the enjoyment of the game. It is therefore necessary to assess the games and look for the best graphic features that will enhance the enjoyment. It is possible to find that the one you select does not have good graphics and you may wish to purchase another one.
Look for the best flight simulator that has realistic features that include good graphics, landscaping and sceneries. If the environment looks natural you can connect more easily as it has the natural characteristics that make it look authentic.
The following features should be considered when you select the best flight simulator:

The Top 5 Video Games of 2013

From time to time, assessments are conducted as to which of the available video games are considered the best among the rest. In this article, the focus is on the ranking of the video games based on sales which is reasonable enough since the game with the highest sales is definitely the finest. Otherwise, it will not be patronized by the gamers themselves. Halfway through the year 2013, the NPD Group has released its rankings based on the sales reported by retail outlets for the period January to April. Below are the top 5 video games as reported by NPD Group.

1. Call of Duty - Black Ops II
"Call of Duty" reclaims the top spot this year after dropping to second on last year's midterm rankings. The seemingly futuristic setting of "Black Ops II" totally differs from the previous games that even the cynical players have already changed their outlook with this mega franchise. One factor that can be attributed with its high sales is the decision of Activision to offer the "Call of Duty - Elite" for free. With its strong performance, analysts have predicted that this video game will be the best seller among the entries in the 10-year history of the franchise.

2. Bioshock Infinite
The decision of original developers of the 2007 hit "Bioshock" to come up with a sequel this year turned out to be a huge success as it ranked second based on sales. The publisher Take-Two made an announcement in mid-May that it has a whopping 3.7 million copies sold. It has already received favorable reviews from critics and gamers alike, citing its strong following will be enough reason for this to be included in this year's "best of" lists.

3. NBA 2K13
The inclusion of this sports game is not surprising at all since it was patterned to the world's most prominent basketball league that has a huge following from the entire sports enthusiasts. Take-Two had a jackpot with this since many analysts as well as players have already shown an incredible loyalty to this action-packed game. It has absolutely taken advantage of the absence of EA's Madden NFL series. Though the latter made a statement that it will release an NBA game this year, analysts say that it will definitely have a hard time winning back its supporters because NBA 2K13 has already established its name, thanks to the overwhelming response from the players.

4. Injustice: Gods Among Us
Gone are the days when "Mortal Kombat" was the talk of the town. Enter the newest fighting game that easily captured the attention of today's players. Warner Bros. has totally found a goldmine via this game that it even managed to have a spot in the top 5, exceeding the performance of the other games that have been out for quite some time.

5. Tomb Raider
This newest version of video game top-billed by Lara Croft is fiercer and stronger than the previous releases, making it the saving grace of the fading triple-A status of the "Tomb Raider" franchise. With its 3.4 million copies sold on the first month, publisher Square Enix still a reason to smile as it only shows that the franchise is still alive and continues to draw more players.
With the way things are going, video games are definitely here to stay. Its evolution is very remarkable that it has really surpassed the expectations. Millions of people worldwide, particularly those who belong to the younger generation are totally addicted to this entertaining past time. That is why the creators keep on producing more games to the delight of gamers around the world.

Mastering Red Crucible 2 In a Few Easy Steps

Red Crucible 2 is my favorite online multiplayer game because it is rendered in 3D and features stunning effects, real-time lighting, and the opportunity to use some of the deadliest, cutting-edge weapons and vehicles in the world. After playing this game once, anyone will be hooked. Mastering the game requires some skill so here are some insider tips that I have used to play like a pro.

Take a Team Approach
In this game, players engage in air, vehicle, and infantry combat in several different arenas. Since it is multiplayer, tactics and strategies are required. Groups should fly or drive together to increase their firepower in an exponential way. Staying together also allows players to cover each other and puts more eyes on the surroundings to identify threats. Join friendly players and regroup as necessary to prevent anyone from traveling alone.
Travel by vehicle whenever possible because it is more difficult to destroy and shortens travel time. If friendlies are traveling together by tank and helicopter, the helicopters should cover the tanks. Drivers of tanks are exposed to threats can be seen from above. A helicopter can use the sun as a cover, becoming difficult to spot.

Success at Red Crucible 2 Requires Attention
Helicopters are often the first targets encountered during game play. They are faster than tanks and stay above the line of sight. Keep an eye on the sky while battling enemies on the ground. If out in the open, do not attack a helicopter. Do this from a covered position such as behind a bush, building, or vehicle. An effective trick is to attack helicopters from behind an empty vehicle. My enemies become confused and instead of attacking me, they attack the vehicle in front of me.
To spot targets and attack them, use the different views. Driver, gunner, focus, and third-person views make it easier to locate targets and attack them. Never shoot without a target in range because an enemy miles away can spot the missile or shell. Sounds of shooting also reveal a hidden location to an enemy.
Though this is a shooting game, it is sometimes better not to attack. If a target is difficult to destroy, go around it and find a more suitable target. Continue moving toward the enemy base, establishing an offensive position. Keep moving while attacking and navigate from one cover position to another. Keep these tips to yourself because they will help you win!
